Parable of the Stone

“If every tongue were stilled,
the noise would still continue,
the rocks and stones themselves
would start to sing: ‘Hosanna! Hosanna!’”.

(from the Opera "Jesus Christ — Superstar")

… It happened a long time ago.

There was an ordinary stone, a small one.

It lay on the side of the road and slept peacefully — motionless, unaware…

* * *

One day on that road, a crowd of people wanted to throw stones at a woman for her sins. And the outrage of that crowd was rising to a boiling point, and anger was being poured out and multiplied around.

… But suddenly a different thing happened in the space.

Jesus of Nazareth stood up for this sinner. He spoke to these people about kindness and understanding…

But their indignation was not immediately assuaged by His wise words. And stones started to be picked up from the ground to brand with shame and pain both the woman who had sinned and the One Who had interceded for her.

And a stone was thrown in hatred at that woman by a human hand, so that the condemnation and punishment of sin could be made to manifest to all…

But He Who spoke the words of Love — He shielded the unfortunate one with Himself!

* * *

What can an ordinary stone do when hate and anger have been put into it?

What can a stone do? It cannot stop its movement in space with its still undeveloped will… It is only a stone — it cannot soften its blow at all against living flesh…

But the miracle of touching the Messiah happened!

In the ordinary stone, the energies were then transformed. And the anger that was put into it disappeared! And love began to shine in the consciousness of its crystals, and became a part of this stone for centuries…

* * *

And the people who were there also stopped… And hatred died out in them at the words: "Let the one who is without sin condemn her, if he can…" And hands fell, and stones were dropped. And the anger in their souls faded away.

And each one thought about himself in the face of God…

And the crowd dispersed…

* * *

And the stone that had once touched the body of Jesus still lies by that road and remembers and keeps love.

This is how malice is transformed by Unconditional Love!

And the legend has it that even the stones that Jesus touched on His earthly Path are still singing in a special silence to this day, singing “Hosanna”!

* * *

And people… People are not stones…

How many centuries now have the words that the Messiah spoke been sounding for people to hear…

And may His words of Truth, which transform those who listen with their hearts, touch souls again, and may LOVE come alive and blossom!
